Agora,the higly unique archaeological park served as the city's marketplace from the 6th century BC to the 6th century AD. Statues and ruins of numerous buildings are scattered throughout the Agora, the most interesting of which is the well-preserved Temple of Hephaistos or Thission,that was built in the 5th century BC. Many of the archaeological finds are on display inside the reconstructed Stoa Attalou, which is a majestic building from the 2nd century BC.
